Travis Kelce is dispelling the notion that he's off his game in the best way possible: by making history with another career milestone.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end has been caught in a whirlwind over the past several weeks as critics have bashed his lackluster start to the NFL season, assuming that the media frenzy of his relationship with Taylor Swift and his off-the-field gigs are starting to take a toll on his football performance.

But the pro athlete's game on Sunday, Sept. 29 likely put some of those rumors to rest, as he now has the most receptions in Kansas City Chiefs history.

Kelce earned the accolade after the Midwest-based team faced off against the Los Angeles Chargers, coming out victorious with a final score of 17–10.

Following the feat, his team celebrated him on Instagram , with a post marking the accomplishment.

"TE1. Literally. Congrats, @killatrav !" the social media upload was captioned.

In the comments section, fans poured in with love for the three-time Super Bowl champ. "Go Kelce we believe in you," one encouraged, as another applauded, "Congratulations Travis on breaking another Kansas City Record! 👏🔥❤️."

"Never a doubt. When needed, he steps up," a third confirmed, as a fourth insisted, "You can't name a better Tight End to ever play football."

Meanwhile, someone else called for the haters to be silenced: "Can we shut up about how he's washed now?"

Up next, the Chiefs will play the New Orleans Saints on Monday, Oct. 7, followed by the San Francisco 49ers on Oct. 20, 2024.
