Legend has it that if you listen close enough on the first of October, you can hear the faint jingling of bells, Santa’s famous jolly-filled laugh and the intro to Mariah Carey’s evergreen Christmas hit, “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” It’s almost as if spooky season is over before it even started. Of course, there’s still plenty of time left to get your scary movie marathon fix, but it can’t hurt to at least start thinking about all the glitz and glamor that Christmas time brings—or at the very least, the food.

Sure, there are plenty of ghoulishly delicious treats like maple butter pecan bar cake and mountains of sugary candy , but who says you can’t enjoy a gingerbread latte or peppermint bark well in advance of everyone’s favorite gift swapping holiday? Definitely not Costco ! In fact, the latest must-have seasonal find to pop up on the bulk grocer’s shelves is a returning treat that sells out almost as quickly as it’s announced. And before you get your hopes up, there’s still no sign of slices of combo pizza —although, that would be a Christmas miracle.

Instead, the warehouse quietly brought back their fan-favorite Kirkland Signature Eggnog Liqueur , and we’re racing to go grab a bottle before they sell out. For those of you not familiar with the cozy season delicacy, this delectable blend of cream, French vanilla, spiced rum and brandy has been a staple on holiday tablescapes for years. But once it’s gone, it’s gone for the season.

The boozy beverage clocks in at a whopping 14.75-percent ABV, although the sweet, creamy flavor balances out any alcohol-forward taste. Best of all, you can enjoy the holiday-perfect cocktail straight up over ice, blend it into a frosty boozed up milkshake or use it as a base for your favorite holiday drinks and recipes.

While you won’t be able to find the rum and brandy-based version at all locations due to varying state and local laws, the larger-than-life retailer also stocks a wine-based version of the cocktail that still packs a punch at 13.9-percent ABV. Each 1.75-liter bottle retails for just $11.49, making it a no-brainer to pick up on this week's grocery run. If you can still find them, that is. Maybe we’ll get a pumpkin spiced version for Halloween next year. Here’s hoping!
