Found fans knew that Sir ( Mark-Paul Gosselaar ) had Lacey ( Gabrielle Walsh ) in his sights at the end of Season 1. The opening moments of the Season 2 premiere revealed that Sir actually went for the entire Mosely & Associates team. Sir managed to sneak poisoning into Dahn ( Karan Oberoi ), Margaret ( Kelli Williams ), and Zeke's ( Arlen Escarpeta ) food. Gabi was able to get warnings to Dahn and Margaret in time, but Zeke ingested the rat poison and was found unconscious on the floor of his apartment.

Zeke survived the poisoning, and the team convinced his father to let him return home and get back to work. With all four team members on the case, they quickly deduced that Sir stole Dahn's boyfriend's credit cards. The credit cards led them to a vacation rental where Sir had been hiding out, but by the time the police arrived he had already vacated. The team was able to locate a message from Lacey and that renewed hope that she was still alive.

One of the episode's closing scenes confirmed that Lacey was still alive as Sir tied her up in their new hold-up. Flashbacks also revealed that Sir stalked Lacey for months after she and Gabi escaped from the cabin as a way to keep tabs on Gabi. Young Lacey thought she was having nightmares, but Sir really was camped outside of her window and sneaking into her room to get closer to Gabi.

Of course, all of this has been for Sir to maintain his relationship with Gabi, and he re-established their connection in the final scene of the episode. Earlier, he left a copy of Richard Wright's novel "Native Son" in the trunk of the car he stole to escape from Gabi's neighborhood. Gabi found clues within the book that gave her the phone number of a D.C. payphone. When she checked out the pay phone, Sir immediately called, marking the first time they'd directly communicated since the end of Season 1.

So far, the news has been better than Gabi could have expected since Sir's escape. Zeke was harmed, but the team is mostly whole and okay. Even Lacey is still alive, even if she is in Sir's clutches. The game of cat-and-mouse will continue as Gabi continues to hunt for Sir's location and bring Lacey home.

However, there is a time bomb hanging over Gabi's head. In order to participate in the investigation to find Lacey, Gabi had to tell Trent ( Brett Dalton ) that she held Sir captive for nine months. The news obviously destroyed Trent and gave Gabi 72 hours to find Lacey before he placed her under arrest for kidnapping. At the end of the episode, Lacey has been missing for 24 hours. That means that Gabi has only two more days to bring her surrogate sister home before facing the music for what she's done.

Gabi seems ready to accept the consequences of her actions, but it seems unlikely that Sir will be willing to let her go so easily. She and the team not only need to find Lacey, but bring Sir down before they can get anything resembling closure from this case. Even if Gabi is able to avoid jail time, the associates of M&A will need to decide if working for Gabi after she herself became a kidnapper is something they are willing to stomach. Dahn has seemingly made his peace with what Gabi did, but the same can't be said for Margaret and Zeke. We also have no idea how Lacey feels about Gabi now that she's been taken again.

There's a lot still up in the air for Gabi and her team. Luckily, this season is just getting started.

Found continues Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
