You could spend all day making cakes , cookies or cupcakes that are "wow" worthy, or you can do a Trader Joe's run, add a little bit of creativity and make something that's quick and cute and absolutely delicious.

One content creator who has a way with Trader Joe's products is Amanda Hernandez, aka @amandamaehome , who has shared several versions of her Trader Joe's Mini Sheetcake upgrades. Two recent ones caught our eye and we can't wait to try them now that the entertaining season is upon us.

How to Upgrade Trader Joe's Mini Sheet Cakes Like Amandamae Home

Amanda has been working her mini sheet cake magic for a while now, with some of her posts getting a million views on Instagram. Here are two of our favorites, but for even more inspiration, we recommend doing a deep dive into her Instagram or TikTok .

    The Layered Look
In one of her most popular videos, she buys three mini vanilla sheet cakes an scrapes a bit of the frosting off of one of them and transfers it to a bowl. She places the second cake on top of the first and removes a bit of frosting as well, then tops that cake with the third cake. She takes the reserved frosting in the bowl and uses that, plus the frosting on top cake, to frost the sides. She finishes the cake with some of TJ's sweetened dried orange slices.

    Make it Mini
For her fall-themed sheet cake transformation, Amanda shared a great hack for making this mini sheet cake look like you spent hours making it at home. All you have to do is cut it into small rounds with a biscuit or cookie cutter and top each slice with a piece of fancy fall chocolate from TJ's (the ones in the shapes of pumpkins, pinecones and squash) or some TJ's pecans.

She said that this works best if the cake is cold and if you clean the cutter off in between making slices. The cakes look like high-end bakery treats, and no one will ever know that you didn't spend a fortune on them. For the full video of this idea, see her Instagram post .

"I cut them into tiny squares and freeze them- then I add to my dessert platters with an assortment I have stashed in my freezer," someone commented on Amanda's Instagram post. This is also a fantastic idea!

"Oh my gosh yes! These turned out so good!! You always have the best cake hacks!" another person said. It is really cute!

"Okay obsessed with this idea," someone else said. We are, too!
