Target Is Selling a 'Beautiful' $28 Tie-Front Cardigan Similar to Abercrombie & Fitch and Aligne Styles Over 4x the Price

Tie-front cardigans are pretty in right now. This summer, it was all about the open sweater vests that tied in the front. And now, with fall here, long-sleeved cardigan sweaters that tie in the front are making their way into retailers everywhere. One of Target’s newest fall finds includes such a cardigan and it’s already a favorite for shoppers. Plus it’s similar to Abercrombie & Fitch and Aligne styles that are over 4x the price.

Target is selling a Women's Fly Away Sweater Cardigan by their in-house brand, Wild Fable, for $28. It’s a pretty simple cardigan design; it’s cropped and a “standard fit,” meaning that it’s not super form-fitting but it’s not a relaxed or oversized style either. The cardigan has a crewneck, long sleeves and a ribbed fabric made up of 47% cotton, 33% recycled polyester and 20% nylon, and it has three front ties down the front.

Women's Fly Away Sweater Cardigan - Wild Fable , $28 at Target

This sweater comes in three colors: heather gray, dark green and off-white. The ties match the solid color of whatever cardigan you choose and it comes in sizes XXS through 3X (though some sizes are already sold out in various colors). You can wear it with a tank or blouse underneath, or you can get a little risky and wear it without anything underneath.

The Wild Fable cardigan has 31 reviews and ratings so far, with 4 stars overall. One shopper wrote that it was “so cute” and “very soft,” though they “should have ordered a size up” with how they want it to fit. Another person wrote that it was a “beautiful color and fun ties in the front.” They also noted that it’s “pretty thin," which is good for the transition into cooler weather.

"So adorable," another reviewer wrote. "Great quality cardigan with the on-trend ties. I ordered a size up so it wasn't too tight and I'm glad I did. I would say it's true to size but if you don't want it skin tight size up one. Target has been killing it with the fall styles"

And yet another person wrote that they were “impressed by the quality” and noted that it was “very warm” in addition to being “cute.”

Tie-Front Cardigan , $70 at Abercrombie & Fitch

As we mentioned before, this Target cardigan is similar to Abercrombie & Fitch’s Tie-Front Cardigan . Costing $70, this best-selling Abercrombie cardigan has a very similar design to Target’s; while slightly looser and longer, it’s a similar basic cardigan. It’s made with fabric that looks ribbed at the hems and is made of 51% polyester, 36% nylon, 7% acrylic, 4% wool and 2% elastane. And of course, it also has ties in the front, though only two. Abercrombie’s cardigan comes in three colors as well: gray, cream and brown (light brown).

Nadia Tie Knit Cardigan , $124 at Aligne

Target’s Fly Away cardigan is also similar to Aligne’s Nadia Tie Knit Cardigan , which is $124. It has a similar fit to the Abercrombie cardigan, but with “turnback cuffs. It has three ties in the front and a lower neckline. This sweater is made with 100% organic cotton and comes in two colors: red and black.

While high-end brands make pretty good quality products most of the time, if you’re looking for a cardigan that’s stylish and trendy for fall without spending too much money, Target’s Women's Fly Away Sweater Cardigan is worth checking out.
