Jennifer Hudson Channeling Whitney Houston in ‘Epic’ Performance Leaves Fans With 'Chills and Tears'

Jennifer Hudson is honoring Whitney Houston in the best way possible: by delivering an "immaculate" rendition of one of the late singer's most iconic hits.

During the American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special on Sunday, Oct. 6, the Respect star took the stage to pay homage to the legendary artist with her take on "I Will Always Love You."

The standout song from the 1992 film The Bodyguard 's soundtrack—in which Houston starred alongside Kevin Costner —has a special place in the hearts of the "I Have Nothing" songstress' fans.

For the stunning display, Hudson rocked a black body-hugging gown with sheer sleeve inserts and glitzy, bejeweled high-neck detailing.

Viewers agreed the Dream Girls star did the tune justice and poured into the comments with praise for the soulful R&B songstress.
