'Outlander' Fans Swoon Over Sam Heughan's Thirst Trap 'Sweaty Run' Photos

Fans were heartbroken when Outlander star Sam Heughan shared behind-the-scenes photos from his final days filming the show's eighth season, which will be its last—but the Scottish actor lifted their spirits once again with a series of recent pics.

On Tuesday, Oct. 8, Heughan, 44, shared a carousel of images to Instagram from his current visit to San Francisco, and his followers were as in love with the photos as he is with the city.

In the first shot, he posed for a selfie with the bay and the blue sky behind him, fresh from a morning run. The remaining photos included snaps of the Golden Gate Bridge, a street car, a sign reading "view Alcatraz," and another selfie of Heughan in front of multiple docked boats.

"I adore San Fransisco ❤️First place I came to in America 26 years ago, fell in love with the city and the bridge. Good to be back. Getting my steps in with a sweaty run along the bay to start the day.🇺🇸 @mypeakchallenge," he captioned his post.

The star's fans took to the comment section to express their admiration.

Heughan also shared pics from a San Francisco 49ers game . He wore a red 49ers jersey and a team hat for the event, where he paused to pose with several cheerleaders.

"GAME TIME!!! Let’s go @49ers !🏈❤️," he wrote in his caption.
