Garth Brooks has spoken his piece on what he referred to as "shakedown" allegations regarding his impending lawsuit.

As previously reported , the "Friends in Low Places" singer was accused of sexual assault and battery by an unnamed woman, "Jane Roe," who identified herself in a new lawsuit as one of the country star’s former hairstylists and makeup artists.

In the Oct. 3 lawsuit, she alleged that Brooks raped her in May 2019, a couple of years after she began working for him, also noting that she initially worked for Brooks’ wife, fellow country singer Trisha Yearwood , in 1999.

Brooks, however, has denied all of Roe's allegations, calling himself "the victim of a shakedown" that began four years ago in the legal documents, per USA Today .

In his amended complaint, Brooks describes Roe as an "independent contractor" who worked with him "for approximately fifteen years before she relocated from Tennessee to Mississippi in May 2020," who then looked to him for financial assistance after moving.

The "If Tomorrow Never Comes" singer claimed he obliged her requests "out of loyalty," before she allegedly demanded additional funds. When Brooks declined to offer her a "salary and medical benefits," she levied "false and outrageous allegations of sexual misconduct she claims occurred years ago," the outlet reported.

Meanwhile, Yearwood has since made a statement of her own regarding the ordeal involving her husband of nearly 20 years.

Keeping it short and simple, but getting her point across on where her loyalties lie , she took to Instagram on Oct. 7 to share a photo of the couple singing together on stage. "Love one another," the caption stated, while the comments were restricted on the post.
