An Afternoon of Advantage Threats and Chaotic Plans on 'Survivor 47' Leads to a Wild Vote Out

After three episodes, everyone on Survivor 47 has attended Tribal Council. After getting their feet wet, you'd imagine that their games only get cleaner. But this week's episode was as messy as a shattered jar of red paint. One tribe's downward spiral continued, full of flared tempers and an embarrassing challenge loss. On the journey, a new advantage brought new cross-tribal relationships in the game. And a hectic afternoon had over half the tribe on the chopping block, leading to a shocking and tumultuous vote.
As Kishan told us in confessional this episode, his strength lies in "getting to know people, really understanding them, and then being able to beautifully manipulate them." Indeed, for the majority of the episode, the ER doctor was as tactical and careful as a surgeon. He exploited the growing gulf between Rome and Sol, encouarging the former to threaten (or provide an ultimatum) to the latter to vote with him, or his vote will be stolen. Reveling in the chaos, he was bringing Genevieve onto his side, crafting a surprise 2-2 vote to send out Rome. But when she found out Kishan floated her name out as a decoy to use with Sol, it lit a fire under the Canadian. She spent the rest of the afternoon trying to unite the feuding men, feeling Kishan was too threatening to keep in the game. At Tribal Council, the esports commentator shocked everyone when he chose not to steal Sol's vote, but Kishan's. It was the setup for a shocking unanimous vote, as everyone but Teeny took a swing at the former swing vote, sending him out.
Were any advantages found or played on Survivor 47 tonight?
Yes, in many ways! First, Sue found the re-hidden idol at the Tuku camp. Unlike the first iteration of the idol this season, she automatically received a fully-powered idol. However, it came at the cost of her being caught literally red-handed, covered in paint from acquiring the trinket.
The bigger to-do, though, was the new advantage introduced on the journey. Andy, Caroline, and Teeny were tasked with getting one of them to lose their vote in exchange for them all receiving the "Amulet Idol." A take on the "Advantage Amulet" from Seasons 42 and 45, the amulets only work as an idol if they are played at the same time on one person. As Andy put on the episode, it's going to be either an exercise in cooperation, or all-out warfare.
