Contrary to the title, we did in fact want more! Netflix has renewed its breakout rom-com series Nobody Wants This for a second season with Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan joining as showrunners. The news came just two weeks after the show, starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody , debuted.

“Creating Nobody Wants This will forever be a career highlight for me. The incredible cast, crew, producers and executives all made this into the show it is today, and to experience viewers' reactions to this series now that it's out in the world has been more than anything I could have dreamed," creator Erin Foster said in a statement. "I’m so lucky to be able to continue this story, and to do it alongside Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, who I've been such a fan of since Girls ... Justice for healthy relationships being the most romantic!”

Before Joanne and Noah's relationship continues to unfold onscreen, here is everything we know about Season 2 of Nobody Wants This ...

When will Season 2 of Nobody Wants This premiere?

The series streams exclusively on Netflix. The streamer is home to the first season, which debuted on Sept. 26, 2024.

Who is in the cast of Nobody Wants This ?

The comedy stars Kristen Bell as podcast host Joanne and Adam Brody as "hot rabbi" Noah. Justine Lupe plays Joanne's sister Morgan, while Timothy Simons portrays Noah's brother Sasha.

The cast of the Netflix comedy also includes Stephanie Faracy as Lynn, Michael Hitcock as Henry, Tovah Feldshuh as Bina, Paul Ben-Victor as Ilan, Emily Arlook as Rebecca, Jackie Tohn as Esther, Sherry Cola as Ashley, and Shiloh Berman as Miriam.

What will happen in Season 2 of Nobody Wants This ?

Details on Season 2 have yet to be revealed, but the first season ended with Joanne telling Noah, who is going to be the new head rabbi, that she can't promise that she will convert to Judaism because she's not ready. "I'm just not there yet. And I don't know if I ever will be," she admits.

Joanne says goodbye because Noah can't have both, but he ends up going after her. In the final moments, Joanne asks her boyfriend, "So, how does this work?"

"Well, you were right. I can't have both," Noah responds before kissing her.

Speaking to Tudum , Brody said that he interpreted the ending as his character telling Joanne, "I put you first. Everything else will work itself out, but I’m saying that you are my priority."

"In the light of day, will he still feel that way? I don’t know," the actor added. "It’s an open question."

Before the series was renewed, Brody believed that the show, if it continued, could explore "What should he do? What should she do? What version of sacrifice is worth it? What constitutes growth, or what constitutes dimming yourself to be with someone else?"

Brody continued, "It’s a sacrifice, but ideally you grow together and you’re better for it — you don’t have to lob off a limb.”

Elsewhere in the Season 1 finale, Noah's sister-in-law Esther told Bina, Noah's mom, that Joanne and her sister Morgan "have got to go."

We'll just have to wait and see where the story goes next!
