Hugh Jackman issued a plea for help on Thursday, Oct. 10, after a Broadway star he has worked with in the past went missing.

Zelig Williams , who performed with Broadway shows such as MJ The Musical and Hamilton , was last seen on Oct. 3 in Columbia, S.C., where he lived with his family. A missing poster noted that he was “last seen driving in the Congaree National Park area,” where his vehicle was later discovered.

Williams’ family said it was “out of character” for the performer to go a full day without talking with his family members. They reported him missing on Oct. 4, according to authorities with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

Jackman, who performed with Williams as part of the Wolverine star’s 2019 concert tour The Man. The Music. The Show , addressed the dancer’s disappearance in an emotional Thursday post on Instagram Stories. Jackman urged anyone with information about Williams’ location to “please reach out to your local authorities,” according to Deadline . The post had already disappeared from Jackman’s account by Friday, Oct. 11.

“Zelig we love you and are praying for your safe return,” the Deadpool & Wolverine star continued before encouraging his fans to “Please pass this message on!!!”

Earlier this week, the Columbia-based television news station WIS-TV reported that authorities found Williams’ vehicle in a parking lot near the Palmetto Trail at about 11 p.m. on Oct. 4. Williams' family, friends and other members of their local community launched a search of the area in the days that followed.

Williams’ disappearance was under investigation as a missing person case that might involve foul play, the local sheriff told the news station earlier this week. In addition to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources also contributed in the early days of Williams’ disappearance with searches conducted by helicopter, boat and on foot.
