Country music's biggest night is just around the corner! The Country Music Association Awards, or the CMA Awards, will be passed out this November, honoring the best in country music from the past year.
On Sept. 9, 2024, the full list of 2024 CMA Award nominees was released. Fan favorite Morgan Wallen lead the group with seven nominations, while Cody Johnson and Chris Stapleton each earned five nominations. Other artists with multiple nominations included Lainey Wilson , Luke Combs , Jelly Roll and Kacey Musgraves . Also notable were four nominations for Post Malone , who isn't traditionally considered a country musician, but whose "I Had Some Help," which featured Morgan Wallen, was one of the year's biggest hits.

Many fans were surprised that Beyoncé 's "Cowboy Carter" was not nominated, despite the popularity of her single "Texas Hold 'Em." Since the 2024 CMA Awards are honoring work that was released between July 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024, the album would have been eligible (and included a songs with CMA Award nominees Post Malone and Shaboozey ). However, due to Beyoncé's troubled history with the CMA Awards, it's perhaps not surprising that the CMA didn't choose to honor her.
