Travis Kelce ’s fans were stunned to see how different the NFL star looked in new behind-the-scenes footage shared by one of his Grotesquerie co-stars.
Niecy Nash-Betts , who worked with Kelce on the new FX horror series created by Ryan Murphy , has spoken previously about what it was like working with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end during the filming process. But on Thursday, Oct. 17, she offered something new to fans when she shared some footage of Kelce, 35, dressed up while appearing to take a break during filming.

The Instagram video showed Kelce before and after a costume change, with the professional athlete first wearing jeans, a long-sleeved shirt and short-cropped hair before switching to a view of him looking a bit more haggard, his hair suddenly grown out and his snappy shirt swapped for a brown leather jacket, plaid shirt and cream-colored undershirt.
The video ended with a view of Kelce wearing the second outfit while walking across a parking lot. Though Kelce was at first looking down at his phone, he looked up and flashed a grin at Nash-Betts when she called out to get his attention.

“N̶o̶t̶h̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶w̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶s̶e̶e̶m̶s̶. 𝙽𝚘 𝚘𝚗𝚎 𝚒𝚜 𝚠𝚑𝚘 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚢 𝚜𝚎𝚎𝚖,” Nash-Betts wrote to caption her video. She tagged Kelce in the post and included a reminder that the seventh episode of Grotesquerie is now available for fans to watch.
“Omg that’s crazy! Looks so different. 😂,” one fan wrote of Kelce, while another said they still think he looks like “a handsome grinning devil.🖤.”
Kelce’s hair “looks like a bad perm from the 80’s 😂,” one fan wrote when the video was reshared on X , formerly Twitter, by New Heights , the podcast Kelce co-hosts with his older brother Jason .
Kelce’s hair was of particular interest to several fans, with one putting a spin on his “KillaTrav” nickname as they wrote that they did not expect to see a “killamullet 😂😂😂.”
“That mullet was a jump scare 😳🙃😂,” one fan joked as another wrote, “That mullet is insane.”
Others leaned into the new hairstyle, with one person writing, “If you can’t take him with his [m]ullet, you don’t deserve him at his Super Bowl 🤣.”
“Please get Trav and Jason to wear these wigs for next week’s show 😂,” a New Heights fan begged.
