Pepsi has a new drink on the market, but only for adults in Great Britain, which has fans back here in the U.S. and other parts of the world getting creative.

A few weeks back, the soft drink company released an alcoholic version of its cola-flavored beverage through a partnership with Diageo—the makers of Captain Morgan spiced rum—marking the first-ever adult Pepsi beverage available over the pond.

The new product features a mix of the brand's sugar-free soda, Pepsi Max, and Captain Morgan's Original Spiced Gold label. It's a pretty simple recipe, leaving fans across the globe wondering why it also couldn't also be released in their markets.

"If they came out here id be keen as all hell," one fan replied to an Instagram post promoting the recent release before tagging the official account for the Australian Pepsi team, " @pepsimaxaus 😁."

"Would definitely grab the Pepsi ones," a second admitted. "Can’t wait for them to come to the US."

"I'd scope that Pepsi×Captain Morgan immediately," another shared.

"How hard is it just to mix two things?" another quipped, suggesting those who want to try a DIY version of the new drink could grab a cup of Pepsi Max (sold as Pepsi Zero Sugar in the U.S.) and mix it with a splash of Captain Morgan. It's an imperfect method but the only solution, at least until the partnership expands.

"That Pepsi x Captain Morgan can looks so cool!!!" a different Instagram user declared.

As for how the soft drink company landed on this unsuspecting collaboration, Nuno Teles , managing director at Diageo in Great Britain, told industry news outlet Just-Drinks : "With a shared emphasis on fun, our partnership with Pepsi Max brings together two iconic brands to create one epic taste that will inject excitement into the RTD category. Both brands bring their own distinctive flavour profile to the mix, an expert blend to deliver a great taste experience."

The canned mixed drink is just the latest innovation to come out of PepsiCo's HQ, with several other releases in the past year or so—including a collaboration with Lay's potato chips , the introduction of an all-new condiment, " Colachup ," fresh 'n fruity limited-edition summer flavors , the return of Pineapple Pepsi and a controversial partnership with IHOP —also garnering a massive wave of attention from fans.
