Macaws are incredible birds. They're beautifully colored, and their intelligence is second to none. Take Mikey and Mia, for instance. These two Macaws have been practicing what Dad's teaching them, and it's seriously unbelievable.

In a recent TikTok video posted to the Mikey and Mia account (@mikeyandmiaofficial), the clever Macaws can't wait to show the world their tricks and it's really something special. Get ready to be impressed!

The video captioned "A bit of tricks and treats," shows Mikey and Mia reacting to their dad's request to show their wings. Mikey goes first and he's a very proud boy to nail this trick, so of course he gets a treat.

"Stunning," Dad says. "Absolutely stunning. Really good job. Good boy."

With all the praise Mikey can't help but do the trick again, followed by a high-five, another wingspan, and a "hello," to prove he really is the smartest boy!

Mia is up next, and although she's a bit more shy, she shows her wings, too, just as Mikey continues showing his wings. It's the best competition two Macaws have ever taken part in.

This cute couple have more than 125,000 followers rooting for these cool tricks, with most noting how Mikey stole the show.

"Mikey REALLY wanted to show u his wings," one person noted. "This is Mikey’s version of showing his light up shoes," another joked. "Hahaha. Mikey says “LOOOOK AT MY WINGS, NOW!!!!!” another added.

Many others wondered how to teach their birds these special tricks so they can be as cool as these two sweethearts and it's clear why. They're spectacular.

    Are Macaws Easy to Train?

Mikey and Mia make tricks look easy, but is it possible to train your Macaw to do the same? Pender Vet says yes— training Macaws can be done with ease because they're such intelligent, curious birds. Not only do they love puzzles, interlocking toys, and anything that makes them think, but the stimulation from learning and performing tricks fills that boredom void which could lead to bad behaviors.

These birds are highly inquisitive, always looking for something to do or learn so socialization and regular interaction is very important. And though Macaws can learn words, they're not well-known for their speech ability. They tend to have more sounds that are loud squawks.

Macaws aren't for everyone. they do require a lot of undivided attention to live their best life. The plus side is that in return, they're loyal and devoted to pleasing you, which means they'll happily learn whatever tricks you want to teach!
