Grandparents have a special way of capturing their grandchildren's hearts, whether they have two legs or four. This affection goes both ways, especially between this grandfather and his beloved grand pups when they visited him during summer vacation.

It was a visit filled with priceless comments, joy, and laughter. This video, shared on July 12, will have you cracking up!

The comments on this hilarious visit began the moment they arrived. When he asks his daughter, “You have four dogs with you?” Elli (@ ellifranknyc ) quickly retorts, “You have four kids.” LOL! It seems she inherited his sense of humor. At dinner, surrounded by his grand dogs, he inquired, “Do you have a dog fork?” When she further presses what he means exactly, he describes a fork for the dogs (that’s not his) so that he can share his food. He even went the extra mile, taking them all to hike through the woods. Unfortunately, they also ended up locked out of the house, but not to worry; he made it his mission to have Grandma open the door. Finally, when it was time to say goodbye, he sweetly addressed each dog. He even tries to shake a paw, which is challenging to do, considering they don’t have thumbs. But he found that pretty funny, too. It’s safe to say this visit was a good time for everyone.

Tips to Make Road Trip With Dogs Easier

    • The first step to a successful road trip is ensuring your dog is comfortable in the car. If your dog is not accustomed to traveling, taking them for short rides to acclimate them can help make them feel more at ease.
    • Ensure their safety by putting them in a crate or a special pet seat restraint . This will keep them safe on the road and when you stop by, preventing them from potentially exiting the vehicle when you’re not ready.
    • Make a checklist before you head out to ensure you bring leashes, bowls, treats, food, water, and medications. Taking along their favorite bedding and toys can also help them to feel at home.
    • Plan to make plenty of stops to help exercise your dog and allow them to stretch their legs. These breaks should also provide ample time for them to eat and hydrate.

This loving grandfather gained fans quickly! Viewer @kbe_and_angie responded, “Oh my goodness, I love him!” He’s easy to love. Another viewer remarked, “I do not need tongue, LOL hilarious!” As much as I love my dogs, I’m with him on that one. Viewer @pattykelvin responded, “This guy needs his own show!” I know I’d tune in.

These lucky dogs and their grandfather remind us how important it is to spend time with family. Memories like these are cherished for a lifetime.
