Fluffy Persian Cat on Pink Flamingo Float Takes Chillin’ Out to New Levels

There's something ultra-relaxing about floating on the water in the sun. The rocking motion of the tiny waves can soothe our muscles and help our nervous system regulate. It's always been one of my favorite parts of summer, so it's easy to understand why animals enjoy it, too.

While dogs are known for enjoying activities on the water, cats are also familiar with how soothing they can be. And this fluffy kitty is taking tranquility to a new level.

This sweet kitty is giving off those weekend vibes! Minki (@ thezenkitty ) doesn't have a care in the world when she's comfortably cuddled into her pink flamingo pool float. It's the ideal spot for a nap on a sunny day. It's not just the pink flamingo float she enjoys relaxing on; this adventurous kitty can be seen napping on floats of various colors and styles. However, as she's soundly sleeping here, it's hard to argue that this one isn't her favorite. While her human might say this makes her a crazy cat lady, I think it makes her a terrific mom.

Do Persian Cats Like Water?

Persians are generally not known for being fond of swimming. However, individual cats can have different preferences, and some may tolerate or even enjoy water, especially if they were introduced to it positively from a young age. While they might not relish swimming in the pool, experts advise for Persians to receive a regular monthly bath to help keep their long-haired coats in top shape. It's also best to start this bath routine when they are young to make it easier for everyone. Apart from bathing, their beautiful fur also needs daily brushing and, ideally, professional grooming twice a year. Given this, it might be best that they don't enjoy taking a dip in the pool and instead stay nice and dry while floating above it.

Although this cat may be living a more luxurious life than us, thankfully, we still have several weekends of summer left to enjoy. We should take a page from Minki's book and stop to nap in the sun before it's over.
