Black Sphynx Cat 'Chooses' a Dog Person and Her Face is Just Priceless

There are a lot of people in this world who prefer dogs over cats, and that could be for a multitude of reasons. Whether it's past issues with cats or just feeling generally unsettled by them a little bit, it's just the way life goes.

One place where even a lot of cat lovers draw the line is hairless cats. They just freak a lot of people out! On Saturday, August 3rd, a girl with a hairless cat had her dog-loving friend over, and what happened next is the funniest turn of events ever:

If it's any consolation to Mila and Yuri, I would snuggle those cat in a heartbeat. I love Sphynx cats!

The human who posted this actually has two hairless cats: a girl named Mila and a boy named Yuri. The cat doing all the loving on her dog-loving friend is Mila. Yuri is a little more apprehensive about strangers, but that's okay: every introvert sibling needs their extravert sibling!

Their mom's friend is a champ for letting Mila love on her: when you're a dog person, fluffy cats might make you uncomfortable. Hairless cats are just a whole other level. She didn't necessarily look like she enjoyed it, but she still let it happen. That's a true friend!

What to Do if Your Friends Don't Like Cats

Ideally, any friend you have knows what kind of pets you have, and they're either okay with that or they're willing to find a workaround. If you have a cat averse friend, whether it's because of dislike or allergies, you need to find a balance between accommodation and boundaries.

Early on in your friendship, establish that you have cats. From there, set a few rules:

    1. If your friend wants to come over, they have to accept that they are a guest in the cat's house.
    2. While they don't have to tolerate the cat rubbing all over them, they don't get to be mean to the cat for no reason!
    3. Similarly, if your friend asks you to keep the cat separated from them and you're able, do it.
    4. Don't play "pranks" on your friends by exposing them to your cats/throwing them at them, etc.,.
    5. Don't try to force them to bond.

While Mila is setting a terrible example, her mom's friend is obviously consenting to all of this. If she wanted the cat off of her, she could push the cat off. Celebrate any positive interaction between them; organic interaction is much better than forced exposure!
