Windshield wipers can be annoying, sure, but sometimes we need to use them to drive safely. If it were up to Emery the Cockatiel, they'd cease to exist. Gone. Done. End of story. And there's no real reason why, except he doesn't like them.

On August 7, 2024, @emery.the.branch.manager posted the TikTok tirade of Emery going off on the wipers, and it's too funny. He definitely has something to say!

"An angry Emery dealing with the audacity of windshield wipers," the video says as the little Cockatiel stands on the dashboard of a moving car, screaming his lungs out at the windshield wipers as they swipe back and forth.

"Windshield wipers are just rude," the 29-second clip is captioned, and they're so right. If Emery has anything to say about it, they'll never wipe again. The bird's faithful followers love his angry chirps.

"Literally swearing at the wipers," one person wrote. "The way he walks angrily. Like a little manager," another noted. "This bird has an opinion about everything. He's so funny!" another added.

We get it, Emery. Maybe if the wipers weren't so noisy, you wouldn't hate on them so much. Either way, thanks for making our day a little brighter just by watching you!

Cockatiels Make a Great First Bird

Cockatiels like Emery can provide hours of entertainment just by how adorable and funny they naturally are. They're easy to care for and do great with children and families, making them the perfect first bird for any household. They love activity and playtime, especially when taken out of their cage to "watch" TV or listen to the radio to keep them busy. This also helps them understand language, though, according to VCA Animal Hospitals, Cockatiels have limited ability to talk the way birds like parrots or Macaws do.

Gentle, graceful, and generally quiet are words that describe this bird. They can whistle or screech, as seen with Emery, and males are better talkers than females.

The site also notes that this type of bird does better solo with their human rather than with multiple birds. So, if you want them to thrive, make them an only-pet child and give them all of your attention!

It's unknown how many Cockatiels loathe windshield wipers, but if we had to guess, it's probably most of them! They'd probably shout about it with words if they had more of the ability to do so, but angry whistles work just the same.
