Herding dogs have the boundless energy it takes to do their jobs. Even when they don't live on a farm or need to herd at all, they still need solid ways to get a good amount of exercise each day to quell all that energy. For Koda the mini Australian Shepherd, it just takes one giant ball to play the stress away.

In the Instagram video shared by @koda.toy.aussie , the mini Shepherd is having the best day frolicking with a ball nearly twice his size. Watch his pure joy below!

In the video captioned, "Should I get him the next size up?" Koda's Mom tosses the huge, yellow ball into the open field and he goes for it! He rolls it, kicks it, and herds that thing like it's the best toy he's ever played with. A total pro, Koda could give classes on making the most of your size and having fun! That ball should thank him for their time together!

Some of the little cutie's 137,000 followers were in awe just watching him sprint the length of the open area and we are, too.

"He is having so much FUN!" one person noted. "So stinking cute!" another added, while many others chimed in to vote Koda tries an even bigger ball next time and we agree!

Mini Aussies Need a Lot of Exercise

Like Koda (and other herding breeds), Australian Shepherds are quite athletic with more energy than some other breeds. To prevent boredom and other destructive behaviors from starting, PetMD says Aussies need jobs to keep them busy. Whether it's running, hiking, or agility sports, they need enough physical and mental stimulation to prevent any unwanted behaviors.

As with any dog breed, training, socialization, and obedience classes will help curb some of this, and once they get training down, there's nothing they can't do. Aussies love to please their people and are easily trainable, picking up what you're throwing down fast. They especially love showing everyone all the tricks they know!

Because of their affection, good temperament, and intelligence, Mini Aussies are great family dogs, too. The only caveat is that because they love their people so much, they may need to be crate-trained early on to avoid separation anxiety when left alone.

As for Koda, he's an absolute unit, inspiring other minis to get out there and be brave enough to do hard things. That ball's got nothing on him, and he knows it!
