Dressing dogs up in pajamas and clothing has become trendy in recent years. While not every breed needs an extra layer of warmth, some do, and others look cute in their fashion-forward attire.

Dog shoes have also gained popularity and can be helpful during the summer months when the pavement is too hot for our pups’ feet or in the winter when the ice and snow are unrelenting. However, these styles now serve even more purpose.

Check out this stylish Doodle’s new functional footwear in this video from August 7:

Theo (@ theo_dorabledoodle ) is ready to model his new Crocs! He’s as thrilled as a kid on their first day of school, showing off the latest trends. These darling shoes protect his feet from potentially sharp objects and help him light his way at night. Besides giving him a better view of the ground below, they can also help him be seen by passing motorists and others out walking their dogs. They perfectly combine fashion and function. Not to mention, they are cute as can be!

    Do Dogs Need Shoes?

According to Small Door Veterinary, most dogs don’t need boots for everyday activities, although they can help protect their feet from extreme heat, cold, and rough terrain. Shoes can also prevent slipping on smooth surfaces such as hardwood floors, especially for dogs with mobility issues. Additionally, dogs with allergies may benefit from having their feet protected during seasons when they are most prone to cracked and itchy paws , particularly if they have open wounds or irritation. While some dogs can adapt to wearing shoes, it’s easier to introduce them to footwear at a young age to familiarize them with the sensation and increase their likelihood of wearing them as adults.

People were on board with this bright idea! Viewer @goosethemalinois responded, “I’ve never been more excited to see someone’s light-up shoes!” I agree. Viewer @brandythedogfl remarked, “You’re such a cool runway model, Theo! And now you light up everyone’s world, too!” That’s for sure. Viewer @ronithemaltipoo responded, “Dood, how cool! I wish my footsies were big enough for those lights, too!” That’s a good point. Although these light-up shoes might work well on a big dog, they might be overwhelming on a little one.

If your pups are too small or don't like wearing shoes, you can always try rechargeable LED Light Up Dog Collars that can be cut to fit most sizes. Mine have been wearing them for years, and they are a great way to help keep track of them when they are out in the yard.

I would love to see these adorable light-up shoes out one night. They are a great way to protect paws and brighten anyone’s day.
