Goldendoodles are all the rage right now, and they're really adorable. One of the main selling points is the fact that they're generally considered to be pretty docile - great for when you're raising kids! They're willing to put up with a lot, at least most of the time.

Apparently, there's one added bonus no one had considered: they're hilarious. They must be; in this video, the Goldendoodle is positively cracking that baby up. You have to see it to believe it:

I just know Maddie Smith's dog and her baby will grow up to be the best of friends. Dogs only get funnier with time!

Maddie's pup is named Whitley, and he's a little over 2 years old, making her this new baby's older brother. As an older sister, I can confirm that older siblings are the funniest people on the planet, and it's good to see Whitley carrying the torch. She wasn't even trying to be funny here: she was just minding her business, but the baby couldn't handle it. She just thought he was so funny!

According to mom, this is s frequent sight to see in their house: Whitley cracks everybody up. He's crazy ; with half Golden Retriever genes, he loves a good game of fetch, a case of the zoomies, and rolling around. All things, coincidentally, that make babies crack up! She's going to grow up with her big Doodle brother in so many of her core memories!

Babies Love to Laugh at Dogs

For the most part, babies just love to laugh, period. It's something they've never done before, and just the act of laughing can be enough to make them laugh even more. Dealing with the post-giggle hiccups is a nightmare, but it's worth it!

Laughing is something babies learn early from their parents and those around them: we laugh at everything babies do, because they're unintentionally hilarious, too. They learn pretty quickly that laughter is associated with happiness or surprise, so when they're happy or surprised, they laugh. If your baby can't get enough of your dog, it's because:

    1. The dog is doing something they've never seen before.
    2. The dog has touched/licked them.
    3. They like the way the dog's fur feels.
    4. The dog has a toy and they'd also like to play.

It's great. Babies liking dogs is wonderful news, and doing whatever you can to continue to foster a good relationship is vital to maintaining a good dynamic between them. Whitley and his little sister may just have the best dynamic of all!
