Handsome Goldendoodle Demands Mom Gives Him a Spikey Hairdo With the Vacuum

Dogs and vacuums are not friends. Dogs don't trust the vacuum, and for good reason. It's loud, it smells weird, and it makes the hair they just spent days getting all over the floor go away. No one likes that!

No one except for one Goldendoodle, that is. On Friday, August 10th, his mom caught him begging her to do his hair with the vacuum. At the end, he came out looking like a new, super handsome pup:

I love that Bekah McBride is letting her fur-son follow his dreams and express himself through his style. The new hairdo looks great on him!

Though we haven't been told this good boy's name, there are a few things we do know about him: he has another Doodle sibling and their family is currently staying in Scotland, which is some decent weather for a dog with that kind of coat! Even though Doodles are known for being a tiny bit anxious (thanks to their Poodle genes), he doesn't seem to mind the vacuum at all.

A well-cared-for Goldendoodle is groomed frequently, so it's not a surprise he doesn't mind being messed with. They need daily brushings, and depending on the kind of day they've had, you really have to get in there sometimes! The vacuum helping out must've felt like a dream!

Vacuums are a Doodle's Best Friend

You can breed a Poodle with just about anything to make a new Doodle, but they'll almost always have one thing in common: they're so furry it's not even funny. Doodles are double-coated and typically on the larger side, with most of their coats being very curly. If you don't brush them regularly, they could become matted, and then you have to shave. Shaving is no good!

As it turns out, vacuums are an essential when it comes to owning a Doodle breed of any kind. There are a few things you'll find Doodle parents using them for:

    1. Attaching a special brush to the hose so the hair gets sucked up while they brush.
    2. Using that same brush to try to get hair out of the carpet/off the furniture.
    3. Some groomers have a vacuum/blowdryer combo!
    4. Doing exactly what Bekah does in this video.

If you choose to keep your Goldendoodle's hair on the longer side or you're just between trims, you'll need a good Hair Management System, which for many is a good old pony tail. Gathering up the hair like this with the vacuum helps it stand up and makes it easier to tie up. Not that this boy needs it - his hair would stay like that all day long!
