A Golden Retriever spent some time in the water with her dad, and she said everything she was feeling with her hilarious faces.

On August 12, 2024, TikTok user Lady and the Blues (@ladyandtheblues) shared a video of Lady, a Golden Retriever, spending some time on a paddleboard with her dad, and she saw something "horrifying." Take a look!

In the hilarious video shared on social media, we see some of Lady's feelings while out on the water with her dad. And she had some big feelings.

"POV: Your dog sees something HORRIFYING in the water..." the text on the video reads as Lady sits in front of her dad on a paddleboard.

At the start of the video, she looks as happy as could be, but a compilation of screenshots tells a different story. In one shot, she's standing up, and her eyes are incredibly wide with her mouth open. She's looking at something in the water, but we can't see what's got her so shook up.

Then another screenshot comes, and Lady has the same "horrified" energy.

The pup looks shocked, gooped, and a little terrified. She looks like she's seeing things from another planet, and each photo is funnier than the last.

What is she so horrified over? We have no idea because we never get to see what she is looking at. But we're totally going to guess that it is just typical things when paddleboarding.

"What was it there," the video's caption joked. And in the comment section, there were more hilarious messages about Lady's reactions.

One wrote, "Her flabbers were gasted."

Another, "Every picture, funnier than the last."

Someone else shared, "This dog really makes my day."

Another joked, "definitely the Loch Ness monster there’s no other explanation."

One wrote, "How precious and funny!!"

Someone else guessed, "Me when seaweed has the audacity to float within 20 feet of me."

    Water Safety Tips for Dogs

It's so fun to take on new adventures with our dogs and taking them on new experiences in the water is great for them and for us. But it's important to follow some water safety tips for dogs just like we do for ourselves.

According to the Animal Humane Society , one of the biggest tips is to make sure your dog is wearing a life jacket.

"For boating, paddle-boarding, or other activities where your dog may fall into the water and have a long swim back to shore, dog life jackets are a great way to keep your pup safe," the experts say. "Life jackets help keep your dog afloat, and many also come with loops on the back for you to pull your pet out of the water."

HealthyShores adds to that advice, stating that respecting your dog's comfort levels is important when hearing the water.

"Make sure your dog is comfortable swimming. Never force or throw your dog into the water," they suggest. "Swimming can be tiring and strenuous for your pet, so don’t overdo it! Ensure they have a shady spot to rest and recharge."

Other tips include always keeping an eye on your dog when it's in the water and watching for signs that it's tired or might need help. After-swimming care is also important, including rinsing your dog with clean water, drying it with a towel, and wiping and trying the insides of its ears to reduce the risk of developing an ear infection.
