Dogs can be sneaky sometimes, even if we don't want to believe it. They look for ways to get around our rules just like human kids do. They have interests, and if they're not parallel to ours, they don't try to hide that.

Take this Golden Retriever, for instance. On Thursday, August 15th, he wanted to do something without being seen doing it. He may not actually have any idea how to be sneaky, but he's on the right track:

A Golden Fam has it so rough. I mean, having an invisible dog. That would stress me out!

This Golden Retriever is a total star, and for good reason. They've put out lots of videos to their 4.5 million followers, including a battle with a head scratcher, adventures going swimming, and just being lazy around the house. When you're as big and beautiful as a Golden Retriever, everything is a little bit glamorous!

In this video, we don't know exactly what the point of his stealth mission was, but he definitely had one. Eyes closed (and massive bushy tail wagging), he attempted to sneak up to her. He was even moving slowly - and the cat in the background seems to be in on it! Call him John Cena - I didn't see him!

How do Dogs Try to be Sneaky?

If you've never caught your dog trying to pull off a heist, your dog may be a robot. Of course, they don't have nefarious intentions while attempting to commit crimes , but they're crimes nonetheless. There are a lot of situations where dogs may try to be sneaky:

    1. When they want to steal your food and they inch closer and closer.
    2. When you're trying to leave and they try to snake out the door.
    3. In the backyard when they dig holes by the fence while you're not looking.
    4. After stealing your food, when they sit completely still and hope there's no evidence.

Physically doing something stealthy isn't the only sly way your pups will try to get what they want - they're also master manipulators. They know what you think is cute and what will get them the thing they desire, and they'll pull it out without a second thought! Puppy eyes, light nudges, faking limps to get your attention, or doing a trick even when you didn't ask them to are common tools.

This Golden Retriever could definitely have been using this absolutely adorable trick to get mom to laugh, because it would be accompanied by praise and possibly a treat. Or, maybe, he had a bigger mission at hand - I hope we get to find out one day!
