There are a ton of creative ways dogs ask for attention. Barking, whining, or jumping up into your lap are all a part of their master plan, and these are things we may have accidentally caused them to learn. One English Bulldog named Banks has discovered the lint roller and now demands it's used on him every time he sees it.
A recent TikTok video posted by @banksbattle shows the Bulldog politely asking for roller rubs because it gives the best pets. Watch and learn!
In the 18-second video captioned, "Banks has discovered everything in this house that can be used to rub him lol," the pup waddles over to Dad, who's using the lint roller on his pants. The pup excitedly barks and jumps up, requesting to feel the roller, too!
"It's not for you, Banks," Dad says, but the Bulldog plants himself down and awaits his roller. Of course, his dad gave in and rolled all up and down Banks's back while he licked his lips in total relaxation mode. He may have accidentally learned the roller feels nice, but who can resist that face? No one!
This little guy is a social media hit. His many followers get a kick out of everything he does, but this lint roller thing is too funny.
"Love how he says 'it’s not for you' then uses it on him," one person commented. "Ok. I’m in love with Banks. Mr. Banksy. Mr. Banks Potato. Banksy the spud muffin," another said. "He’s the problem, it’s him! 100% good boy trying to solve it! Dog hair is our glitter!" another joked.

English Bulldogs have a reputation for being loyal, lovable, and good with children or other pets. Though it's been said in many places, English Bulldogs can, at times, be a little stubborn when they like or dislike something. However, PetMD notes when Bulldogs are properly socialized , they (like any dog) can learn any new trick with patience and perseverance.
Maybe your Bulldog isn't set on getting the lint roller for their daily massage. But by using positive reinforcement and high-value treats, you can teach your pup to learn new tricks, too. One of the best things about dogs is they'll let you know when they want something and will learn what they have to do to get it pretty quickly. Maybe it's a lint roller, or it could be some other strange new obsession. Either way, nothing gets by these smarties (and we love them for it)!
