As we grow older, we often lose our childlike spirits. With work, families, and responsibilities, making time for life’s simple pleasures becomes hard. However, dogs have a way of showing us the value of these experiences and the importance of slowing down to enjoy them.

Oh, Willi (@ wildwildwilli ), it’s hard to feel anything but joy watching you run to the lake. He seems to understand that it’s the weekend, which is made for having fun with our family and friends. So he’s not wasting a single minute taking his yellow ducky to the water. Even though this toy is almost as big as he is, it doesn’t even slow him down. Once suited up in his life jacket , he jumped into the lake after his toy and paddled like an Olympic athlete. Oh, my goodness! Those tiny legs underwater could not be any cuter! Perhaps he also understands that some summer will soon come to an end and knows how to make the most of each warm day. It’s a friendly reminder for us to take a moment and enjoy the sunshine while it lasts.

Do Dachshunds Need to Wear Live Jackets?
While some Dachshunds can swim on their own, others can not. However, experts advise that this breed always wears a flotation device to ensure their safety, should they become fatigued while playing in the water. As their long bodies are also prone to back problems , having support can also help to ensure their spines are not put under any additional stress.

Even though summer never seems to last very long, taking the time to enjoy it creates memories that can help us get through the winter. Despite our many responsibilities and things to do, making time for some fun should always be a priority.
