Dogs know how to get what they want. They're expert manipulators who understand their adorable faces, charming sounds, and pitiful pleas can help them achieve their objectives. And they are not afraid to use them.

They also know how to detect the weakest link or the newest pack member and deploy their tactics on these individuals. Take, for instance, this adorable Pit Bull who wasted no time with a houseguest to score a second breakfast, using her cuteness to her advantage.

Watch how she tried to make her case in this video shared on July 28:

This was quite a show! Sweet Maggie (@ maggiepotamus ) made quite an effort to get the family's visitor to give her another meal. She makes it look like no one has fed her for months while resting her sad face on her food bowl. Oh my! Even when Mom softly calls her name, she does not try to move. She is committed to getting a second breakfast and confident that if she plays up the drama, she might eat again. Her mother's attempt to get her attention only frustrates her, as we can see by the stern side-eye she throws her way. While her dedication to this role is commendable, it didn't yield the result she had hoped for. But who can blame a girl for trying?

    Do Dogs Understand Human Emotions?

As pet parents can attest, they do. Over time, dogs have developed a strong understanding of human emotions and have learned to use this knowledge to their advantage. For example, when a dog comforts us on a bad day, not only does it help us feel better, but they also receive our attention and affection in return. They also know that using sad looks and whines can tug at our heartstrings, which leads to treats, pets, or playtime from us. Studies have shown that dogs can interpret our moods and respond accordingly. According to the VCA, the more we show our dogs our emotions , the more it can help strengthen our bond.

Maggie's performance won people over. Viewer @leontae.go reported, "She's perfected the guilt trip look. I would have fallen for it." She puts on a powerful show. Viewer @girl.with.a.dog.blog revealed, "I would fall for that face, too!" It's hard not to be swayed by this level of cuteness. Viewer @shiz_bot remarked, "And it would've worked if it wasn't for that meddling mom!" Ha! So true!

While this attempt and an additional meal might not have been successful this time, she'll undoubtedly try again. One never knows when it may work, so it's always worth the try.
