Therapy Golden Retriever Celebrating His 7th Birthday Is Too Cute For Words

A beautiful Golden Retriever celebrates his 7th birthday with the cutest decor and the best birthday treats, and it's too cute for words.

On August 19, 2024, TikTok user Stephanie (@pasonotti) shared a video of their celebration for their now 7-year-old therapy dog. Take a look!

In a two-minute video posted to social media, we meet a Golden Retriever named Major .

Major is celebrating a birthday, and his family pulls out all the stops to make sure the sweet dog knows how much he's loved. In the video, we see Major wearing a blue cowboy hat that says, "It's my birthday." There's a "happy birthday" sign behind him, and his birthday dinner on a plate in front of him, and a special "spoiled dog" cookie.

Major sits patiently with his cute dog smile as his parents sing him a happy birthday song. They then remove the cute birthday sign from his dinner and waits for the OK to eat.

After his mom tells him to "dig in," he does that. Major eats his entire plate of food in less than a minute and seems to enjoy every bite.

"Major’s 7th birthday celebration. Two plain burgers and unsalted fries. Just a few," the video's caption read.

In the comments, people were happy to continue to spread their happy birthday wishes to Major.

One said, "Happy birthday, Major sweet boy. I loved watching you have your birthday feast. My boy Sammy gets his special day like you do. Except he gets cheese on his burgers."

How to Celebrate Your Dog's Birthday

Celebrating your dog on their birthday is such a fun tradition. While our pups aren't likely to remember their birthday in the same way we do on a calendar, you'll still be building up fun memories for them and yourself, and going over the top is just needed sometimes.

If you're looking to celebrate your dog's birthday, one of the best things to do is what Major's family did for him: decorate and plan a special meal .  Of course, it's important that if you're going to feed your pup human food, it's on the safe food list and won't cause health issues. Major's parents got him some hamburgers, making sure there was no garlic or onions, and the fries had no salt just because dogs don't need that much salt.

You can make pupcakes or cookies for dogs, take them to get a pup cup or pick up their favorite dog treats. Of course, decorating up the home is always fun, or spend the afternoon at the dog park!
