Ragdoll Kitten Can't Stop Chatting at the Vet in the Hopes of Getting Pets

Going to the vet is usually not a happy time for most animals — at least, not for any pets I've ever taken to the vet. Even if it's just a checkup, it's not like they know that, and scary things can happen at the vet. Without having any real way to explain what's happening to your dog or cat (and that they'll be okay and you'll be there, holding their paw the whole time), I can't blame any animal who gets freaked out by the whole thing. The noises you usually hear at the vet are sad ones... but the ones happening in this TikTok video are very much happy.

This very brave and tiny kitten wasn't just thrilled to be at the vet, but it looks like he was willing to go just about anywhere if it meant he'd be around new people who wanted to offer him pets. He's brand new to the world, but already getting used to being the center of attention!

On Tuesday, August 20, @pearlsragdolls shared the sweetest video of her white Ragdoll kitten , Kermit, at the vet, and instead of being spooked, he simply wanted to make sure are all eyes were on him. And with a face as cute as his, I don't see why they wouldn't be!

He just won't stop letting out the tiniest little meows, chatting away so that everyone would keep petting him. He was even grabbing at the hands that are in the frame of the video, so you know he means business. He might be small, but he's most definitely found his voice.

And honestly, his plan worked, because he did end up getting extra pets... and of course, commenters weren't shy about sharing that he's won them over. "Just give him all the pets he wants!" one person wrote.

I'll second that. Let him have the pets!

    Pets Who Hate the Vet

While it certainly feels uncommon to those of us with pets who would rather do anything else in the world but go to the vet, there are animals out there who like the vet. But if yours is more like mine, there are a few things you can do to make it a more pleasant experience.

There are so many different suggestions out there that may ease the process that there may be something that makes a world of difference for your cat or dog at their next appointment. VetPartners recommend making the drive over a calm one by playing soothing music in the car and covering their carrier to make them feel more secure.

Once you're there, you can try asking to bring your cat to a room where a cat was last seen, or a dog if you have a dog — that way, they don't smell a different animal and immediately go on the defensive. It also might help to provide positive reinforcement, like their favorite treats, while they're there.

And of course, if you're not able to make it easier for your pet to go to the vet, you can ask their doc and they may be able to prescribe something or offer alternatives that can work better to help your pet stay healthy.

It doesn't have to be a miserable experience, after all... but I think it's safe to say that no one is ever having a happier trip to the vet than Kermit.
