Orange Cat 'Keeps Watch' Over Golden Retrievers Like a Perfect Little Guard

Even though they aren't exactly enemies the way that many cartoons would have us believe, not all cats are dog people, if you get my drift. Many of them would much prefer to spend their time around cats, and even then, others still would rather be hanging out alone. I have one cat whose best friend is our dog, and another cat who avoids the pup at all costs — when they're not fighting, that is. It's a total toss up how this will happen in your family of pets; so much of it is based on each animal's personality (and, in my experience, how much they're willing to go along to get along).

But there are some cats out there who are willing to go above and beyond for the dogs in their home, and the orange kitty featured in this TikTok video seems to be the type.

In this video from @3orangebros that was shared on Tuesday, August 20, this lucky pet mom tells the story about how their family found their orange cat, Mo, and how he's quickly become the protector of their two Golden Retrievers — even though, generally, you might think it would be the other way around!

She explains that they found Mo outside, frostbitten and forgotten by his old family, who had too many animals to keep track of. But since he's spent so much time outside, he still loves going there... especially if the dogs are going to be out there, too.

"He always goes to his favorite tree, and he climbs it so he can get a better view of the boys," his mom said, adding, "he just likes to keep them in his sight."

The dogs play, and Mo keeps an eye on them, and then all three of them go back inside together when playtime is over.

We've all heard of guard dogs, but what about guard cats? That seems to be Mo's calling!

The Story of Mo and His Boys

The orange boys' mom has only recently started sharing their journey on TikTok, and in one video she shared to introduce herself and her pets, she shared that her name is. Hannah and Mo's brothers are Lincoln and Ronin, and they all live together in a rural area on a farm.

The pets have all been best friends since day one. Another video she shared this week included footage of Mo and the dogs through their earliest weeks together after they adopted him, and though they were hanging out peacefully on the first day, by the first week, they were snuggling up together like they've known each other all their lives.

I can't wait to see more of these beautiful orange boys. Their family is too cute!
