IKEA is the place to be. They have basically everything you could ever need, from couches to beds and bedding, bookshelves, knickknacks, and most importantly, meatballs. Everyone goes crazy for IKEA meatballs.
If you're looking for something new to lose your marbles over at IKEA, look no further. They've recently announced a new collection of artisan goods, tons of which feature cats. Whether you have cats, love cats, or even are a cat yourself, you'll definitely want to take a look!
IKEA's MÄVINN collection was just announced recently and has been beloved by many already, including Fast Company! When the collection launches, tons of this will sell like hotcakes, I just know it!

None of the products will go on sale until sometime in September, but it's one of the most interesting collections the furniture superstar has ever offered. Though MÄVINN is not exclusively cat-themed, there are lots of items that feature feline friends, including:
- Throw pillows
- Blankets
- Baskets
IKEA also has their UTSÄDD collection, which is made for pets and includes things like toys, bowls, cat houses, and more. The world lost their minds over UTSÄDD - the items in the collection were adorable, affordable, and perfect in every way. Naturally, IKEA wanted to give cat parents a chance to get in on the fun.
The MÄVINN Collection features a lot of baskets in particular, which I think is the perfect way into a cat-loving home's heart. Cats love baskets. Now, they can fit and sit in style!

Marvelous cat baskets aside, the MÄVINN Collection is one of the most interesting IKEA lines, and one of the most heartwarming. To produce these precious cat-themed finds, IKEA teamed up with local businesses in India, Bangladesh, and Jordan to create jobs and take inspiration from their cultural decor.
The collection features pieces that are all done by hand, whether that be expertly woven or embroidered. Because of the fact that they're so human, each piece may vary slightly, which is just another charming fact that makes this collection so desirable.
IKEA has released another iteration of the MÄVINN Collection in the past, working with different countries' local businesses through social entrepreneurship. Their commitment to supporting communities in need in addition to ethical sourcing is seriously inspirational - the fact that everything in the collection is adorable is somehow just a bonus.
If you're ready to shop the MÄVINN Collection now, the bad news is that you'll have to wait until September for everything to launch, and they're set for a restock in December. Until I can get my hands on some of it, I will simply be daydreaming about that sweet cat basket!
