Special needs cats are so full of love, and they sure know how to give it. Stevie, a rescue cat born without eyes, may have to use her other senses to find Mom when she wants pets and attention, and she couldn't possibly be sweeter.

The recent TikTok video shared by @thenamesamber shows the delicate way Stevie paws at Mom for attention when she senses her near. Grab a Kleenex and take a look!

"POV: Ur local shelter gave you a BOGO deal so you'd take the 'defective' cat who was born without eyes and now every time ur doing dishes, cooking, etc., you look over and see this sweet lil soul pawing for you," the video says.

In the 1-minute clip, Stevie sits on top of a chair, gently reaching toward Mom with her paw as if asking for a little love. Every time Mom pauses, Stevie reaches her paw out again. She's too precious for this world.

"Love is so much more than looks & Stevie is a beautiful example (bogo or not, I simply couldnā€™t leave without her)," the caption reads, and the feline's fans feel the same way.

"I would stress out so bad that she was doing this when I wasnā€™t home and Iā€™m not there to give all the love," one person wrote. "Oh good, I get to cry myself to sleep," another joked. "She knows how safe she is," another added.

    Caring for Specially-Abled Pets

Stevie is a gem who, no doubt, found the forever home of her dreams. There are plenty of specially-abled pets up for adoption at many shelters, though like seniors, they're often overlooked.

If you've ever thought about taking in one of these sweethearts, the Animal Medical Center of Bel-Air explains adopting a pet with special needs is rewarding for not only that pet, but for you. The fulfillment and joy you'll get knowing you gave an overlooked pet in need a home is an indescribable feeling. That fur baby will likely be just as affectionate (if not more) than other animals, and grateful you saved them from life in a cage. They truly do understand when they're safe and loved.

Caring for a specially-abled pet may not be for everyone, but the site notes it's not always as time-consuming or expensive as believed. Every pet has their own unique story, and like Stevie, deserves a second chance with a forever family. Even if you can't take in a pet in need , donating to or volunteering at shelters that specialize in specially-abled pets is a great first step.
