A woman says she came across a box full of 7 Golden Retriever puppies that had been abandoned, and people are very invested.

On August 21, 2024, TikTok user PuddleZCraig (@puddlezcraig) shared a video showing seven little Golden Retriever puppies she had just found abandoned in a box on the side of the road. Take a look!

In a short video, Puddle ZCraig shows the puppies and briefly explains how they came to be in her home.

"Oh my God," she says to the camera with a very concerned look on her face. "I found seven puppies outside."

The camera then pans to the floor, where seven little puppies are lying down. "I found this box full of puppies that I then put in my car," PuddleZCraig shares. I put the puppies in my car."

She continued, "People left this box full of puppies. Oh no. People abandoned this box full of puppies , and so I took the puppies."

You can hear the worry in her voice, both for the puppies and probably feeling overwhelmed with how she will care for them.

"I gotta go buy some stuff for these puppies that I found," PuddleZCraig says.

In the video's caption, the woman asks viewers for advice. "Ummmmm. Omg????? Literally, help?" she wrote. I need to buy stuff for the puppies. What do I get for these puppies?" More than 1,300 comments were filed, with people sharing advice and concerns.

One wrote, "Aww, poor babies. Thank you for keeping them safe."

Another shared, "Call your local animal shelter in case they also dumped the mom somewhere. They also might have resources to help you foster the puppies. My local shelter does this."

Someone else added, "Ugh, the stress. I would not wish this on any person."

Another wrote, "They are beautiful. You’re doing a good thing. I hope you find good homes for them."

One TikTok user added, "Thank you, ma’am, for being such a kind soul."

Someone wrote, "I’m so glad you found them, but I’m so sorry for the next few weeks for you. Puppies are a lot."

Someone else asked, "What are you gonna do? " The woman answered, "I'm gonna feed them and bathe them and figure it out from there, honestly. I'll probably go back to animal control when they open and see what the plan is."

Since posting this video, PuddleZCraig has responded to some questions with new videos and gave more details on how she came across the puppies.

In one follow-up video, PuddleZCraig shared some supplies she picked up at the store for the puppies. In another, she spoke about trying to track down the mom of these puppies and gave a more detailed account of where she found the abandoned puppies.

The Woman Explained How She Found the Puppies and the Steps She Took After

PuddleZCraig explained that she was at the Animal Care and Control Center to drop off a kitten she had found. When she arrived, a few other people were outside, too, waiting for the center to open. After standing around for a while, they realized the center wasn't open that day, so PuddleZCraig and the others decided to leave and return tomorrow.

Well, two of the people standing outside the closed animal control center had the box of puppies, and they shared with her that they weren't going to come back tomorrow; they were just going to leave the box there and hope for the best. This shocked PuddleZCraig, and she told them she couldn't let that happen, that she'd rather take them home than leave them out in the elements.

"They're like, 'whatever,' and they got in their car and they drove away," PuddleZCraig shared. "And in lieu of leaving the puppies out in the August sun, I took them home."

She explained that she returned to the center the next day and said, "They are full up. They didn't have any room for them anyway," PuddleZCraig explained. Next, she took the puppies to her local SPCA and "got them all registered. So I'm going to be taking care of them for the next three to four weeks."
