Black Labrador Jumps with Excitement on Kids' Bouncy Slide in Moment of Pure Joy

An adorable Black Labrador jumps with pure excitement on a kids' bouncy slide, and it's absolutely joyful to watch.

On August 16, 2024, TikTok user Sarah Spikes (@sarahspikesrealtor) shared a quick video of a sweet dog having the time of her life. Take a look!

In a quick video shared on social media, we meet a really cute dog who never misses an opportunity to have fun!

"POV: you have a lab and she's living her best life," the text on the video reads.

In the clip, the family has a beautiful backyard full of space. Currently, they have a giant inflatable slide that the kids are playing on, and the Black Labrador, too.

The slide is massive, with a ladder on one side, a slide on the other, and at the bottom, a little water to make the ride a little extra fun with a splash. A couple of kids are climbing up the ladder, but the Black Lab wants a turn, and she's not in the mood to wait.

As one of the kids starts up the ladder, the sweet dog runs and gently jumps in front of the kid because she wants a turn, and she wants it now. She's got so much fun pep in her step, and you can feel the fun energy in the video.

At the top of the ladder is another one of the kids, who waits at the top to let the dog go down first, and it's so funny.

It's a tall and fast slide, and she doesn't appear to hesitate. As soon as she disappears at the top of the ladder, she's barreling down the slide.

The video slows down into slow motion right at the end so we can see the dog's fumble flop into the water and the big splash she makes.

"Move over, me first!" the video's caption reads. In the comment section, people were all giggling, watching this funny dog live her best summer life.

One wrote, "She thinks y'all got that for her!!"

Water Safety Tips for Dogs

Since there isn't a lot of water in this slide that the Black Lab is playing in, they're not at major risk of drowning (though it can still happen), but it's more the slippery surface you need to be mindful of.

First Aid for Pets states, "Some dogs, due to their age or conditions such as arthritis, find getting out of the water difficult, especially when they are tired after a swim." You need to make sure there are eyes on your dog that can help them if they fall or slip, especially if they seem to have hurt themselves doing so.

The other concern you should be aware of for dogs, even in shallow water, is the risk of ear infections .

"Always clean your dog’s ears after a swim, "First Aid for Pets writes. "Moisture left in a dog’s ear can offer beneficial conditions for an ear infection. Therefore, clean and dry your dog’s ears after each play in the water."
