Golden Retriever's Sweet Bond with Elderly Neighbor Is Giving People the Feels

Dogs are naturally social. They seem to make friends wherever they go. This is especially true for Wally the Golden Retriever. The pup recently formed a close-knit friendship with the neighbor and now, he can't get enough of her.

On August 22, 2024, @wally.meets.world posted the most heartwarming TikTok video showing the beautiful friendship between Wally and his neighbor, and it's honestly too precious. Take a look!

"My dog and our neighbor have a special bond," the minute-long clip says as Wally patiently waits at the chainlink fence. "Most afternoons, he waits at the fence for her to notice him."

Wally stands on his hind legs and paws at the fence, hoping she'll come say hello. Once she spots him, she makes her way over and the Golden's tail goes bananas! The kind neighbor lost a dog a few years prior, the video says, so she gives Wally her leftover treats (and maybe some she bought for Wally) which he's really grateful for.

"They are best friends even though they've never met outside the fence," the video adds. "And he gets so sad when she's not there."

The woman even shakes the treat bag so Wally understands they're all gone, but he still looks around the grass for stray morsels just in case.

"She's so sweet," the end of the clip says while showing the woman lovingly petting and talking to the happy pup.

"Too pure for this world," the caption reads and Wally's followers think so, too.

"Could you imagine having Wally as your neighbor?? I’d be over all the time," one person joked. "Petition for Wally to have a doggie door through the fence so he can visit her," another said. "I bet it makes her day just as much as it makes his," another added, and that's probably true! Wally makes any day better!
