A cat mom build her Main Coon cats their own house that's got everything they need for play and comfort, including an AC unit.
On August 22, 2024, TikTok user Wild Mane Maine Coons (@wildmane_mainecoons) shared a video update on the house they're making for their cats, and it's luxury! Take a look!
In a minute-long video , we get a great tour and rundown on this one-of-a-kind Maine Coon house that is the lap of luxury.

"My Maine Coon cats home tour," the text on the video reads. "I build my two cats their own mini house to live in," the cat mom explains from behind the camera.
She then shows what the home looks like from the outside, which looks like a perfect extension of her home or a custom shed tucked away. It's amazing.
"It still needs to be painted and have shingles on the roof," she explains. "But for the most part, it is pretty much done.
She shows the inside, where you can see the plywood used to put the home together. There are several cat trees inside, the floor is concrete to stay cool, and there's an AC unit in the corner.
"I need to get them new cat trees and accessories because I want to make it into a man cave," she explains while her two male cats, Cobra, the black cat , and Freddy, the cream-colored one, hang out on the cat tree.
She wants to get all new accessories that better suit her male cats, but for now, she's just got what she has in there. "Then I will start working on a plan on how I want to decorate it all," she says.
The eventual plan is to add a seat near the window so they can look outside, some cat shelves on the walls, too, and a "doggy door for them to have free access to their catio from the house."
"It's been months of planning, and I'm so happy it's finally done!" she writes in the video caption.

Important Safety Reminders for Catios
Catios, cat-only spaces like their own outdoor but enclosed patio, are growing in popularity. They're a great way for indoor cats to get a safe taste of the outdoors while providing more comfort and opportunities for enrichment and play.
But, like anything, there are some essential safety reminders to remember if you're considering building your own.
According to Catio Spaces , a flat, level foundation is one of the biggest must-haves. "If your catio will be located in your garden or a grassy yard, take time to level the building site," they share.
"Over the seasons, they can start to lift part of your catio, creating gaps and stress on the square joints of your structure. Check for and remove these hazards in advance."
The second biggest must-have is to ensure nothing can get out and nothing can get in. The purpose of these spaces is to keep cats safe while having some access to the outdoor space and to keep the other creatures out there safe, too.
"If you build your catio on a deck or concrete patio, you already have a dig-proof foundation to keep wildlife and predators away," Catio Spaces shares.
