Orange Tabby Cat Attempts To Steal Yogurt in Adorably Sleepy Heist

When a kitty wants something like food, there's nothing they won't do to get it. One orange cat recently decided he needed a taste of the nearby yogurt, so he crafted the perfect plan to get it, and honestly, it's brilliant.

The August 15 TikTok video posted by Caitlyn Davis ( @caitlyn_davis34 ) shows the orange cat's sneaky ways as he pretends he's sleeping to have a taste. He's quite the actor! Take a look!

“If I pretend to be asleep and move REAL slow, she won’t notice,” the caption says.

The 36-second clip shows the cat pretending to be asleep on the counter. We say "pretending" because he's clearly trying to pull the yogurt lid closer without setting off Mom's alarm bells. With squinted eyes, he very slowly and accurately drags the lid to his mouth where he succeeds at having a taste. It's an A+ performance deserving of an award!

Of the more than 23,000 comments, nearly everyone is impressed with this cat's dedication to the plan.

"The plan, the execution, the patience. very convincing, very demure," one person wrote. "I like how he keeps reminding himself to keep his eyes closed lol," another said. "The pinned ears are so funny and his give away that he KNOWS what he is doing," another added.

Orange Tabby cats have a reputation of being among the most outgoing, lovable, and vocal of any cat breed. If you've ever been around one, you know they can be affectionate, sometimes clingy (!), and just plain funny. They live in their own little orange cat world, and we're just visitors who feed and love them!

Though any cat can have many of a Tabby cat's traits, they're universally referred to as the social butterflies of felines and it shows. According to Catster , orange kitties love food , just like the cat in the clip above.

They're typically the ones screaming and crying at their empty food bowl if it's one-minute past dinner time, and they won't hesitate to wake you up if they're ready for breakfast! Part of this is due to their extroverted personalities but also because, again, they just really love food that much! Look at how crafty this kitty was when he decided he needed the yogurt—he knew what he was doing, and it shows!
