Fluffy Cat Is Determined to Protect Human Baby From Falls at All Costs

Cats are very in tune with our needs and sometimes take it upon themselves to help out if they think we need it. One kitty proved this true after he vowed to be a cushion to protect his human baby from the floor, and it's the most heartwarming thing you'll see today.

The August 18 TikTok clip posted by Alex K ( @alexandra_kukuyev) shows the fluffy kitty as he guards his human from the hard-tiled floor, and his dedication is too sweet. Take a look!

In the 20-second clip that says, "POV, your cat is determined to protect your baby from any falls," the cat does his best attempts to stand and lay behind the baby who's navigating his way around a couch. A montage shows all the moments the loving cat was right there to catch the baby as he grew a little older each time, ever ready to protect him from harm.

"The most special bond," the caption reads, and the internet fully agrees.

"He is so protective, amazing how they know!" one person wrote. "Look at how he protects him. Very cutesy. Very demure," another added. "Everyone deserves a soft place to land," another said.

Cats Are Protective of People They Love

Having a bond with a pet is a very special thing, especially when it's with a cat! We all know cats are notorious for appearing to be indifferent or even aloof, so when they pay us attention, it just feels good.

Connections with cats come from a few things, but food, water, and shelter are their top needs. Add in love, safety, and comfort and they'll feel especially bonded to you, but also more protective. However, it may seem obvious, but Catster explains cats protect their humans in different ways than dogs.

Protective dogs make more of a scene by barking, growling, chasing, or even biting the potential threat, whereas cats will play it in a more subtle way by warning you with his or her or her body language or vocalizations.

As for the baby in the video, he's a lucky boy to have a cat so worried about a fall. And with all that fluff, it's likely be a cozy landing. Either way, their relationship and bond are to be admired. Clearly, this kitty will do anything for his baby!
