Veterinarian Unleashes Hilarious Impressions of Pup Personalities on Walks

Although every dog is different and has a unique personality, certain breeds are known for specific traits. For instance, Belgian Malinois are recognized for their high energy levels and need for mental and physical stimulation. On the other hand, Bulldogs tend to be more laid back and enjoy lounging around and indulging in treats.

While there can always be exceptions, these breed characteristics are pretty reliable. As a veterinarian, you would undoubtedly know how accurate these generalizations can be.

Check out this video from August 18, where a vet perfectly shows these endearing personality types.

Dr. Molly (@ drmollysays ) has a great sense of humor and a deep understanding of the animals she cares for daily. She starts with a Vizsla running off to chase a squirrel through the park, followed by a speedy Greyhound ready to race. Meanwhile, the Shih-Tzu is more concerned about burning calories before indulging in that evening glass of wine. Ha! Then there’s the Rottweiler, who can’t get over the free water flowing at the park. LOL! There’s also the Doodle, who had a bit of dairy this morning and is having a little tummy trouble. This only worsens after an astute German Shepherd points out the “Danger Sign,” showing water could rise rapidly.

The Cavalier is delighted to accommodate those seeking relaxation and enjoying the sights on a beautiful day. While a Weimaraner might get caught up in the leash, a Golden Retriever bounces gleefully through the forest. Not to be forgotten are the darling Dachshunds, who sometimes struggle with big steps, and the French Bulldogs, who often struggle to breathe when exerting energy. So true! The Boxer would bring their floaty to go swimming, and sadly, the Pittie would have so much fun that they would tear their other ACL. That sounds about right.

Which Dogs Are Best Suited for Long Walks?

While all dogs require exercise, certain breeds are better suited for hiking and longer adventures. The AKC reveals that Siberian Huskies , Australian Shepherds and Cattle Dogs, German Shorthaired Pointer, Vizslas, Weimaraners, and Rhodesian Ridgebacks make some of the best trail partners. Their physical characteristics, along with their personalities, make them well-suited for most conditions. With any dog, it’s essential to understand their limits, have plenty of fresh water for them to drink, and know when to stop to prevent exhaustion or heat stroke.

If you’re considering getting a new dog, finding one that matches your lifestyle is essential. With shelters full of dogs of every breed, age, and activity level, your next companion could be just a click away.
