Cattle Dog Is Completely Smitten with 'His' New Litter of Tiny Kittens

It's hard to predict how your dog will react around cats and kittens if they've never had the chance to spend time with them before. And while sometimes adjusting to a new species can be tough, other times, you get to discover that your dog has secretly been a cat whisperer all this time and you never even knew it. One of the coolest things about raising pets is that they never stop surprising us, stepping up to be there for us and for other animals when they really need it.

The dog in this TikTok video certainly seems to be willing to answer the call of duty — well, if the duty in question is watching over a litter of adorable foster kittens, of course. It looks like it was love at first sight!

If you've spent any time on TikTok over the last couple of weeks (or on the internet in general), you've probably heard the trending audio from Jools Lebron, talking about doing makeup in a "demure" and "mindful" way for work (yes, that's why everyone is saying the word "demure" right now). It's still pretty popular, and if you ask me, this sweet video from @booney_tunes2023 is making the best use of it!

Here, her Cattle Dog , Boone, is ever so gently (and demurely) climbing into the bath tub where a litter of foster kittens is resting. Making sure that he doesn't bother them, he sits in the corner of the tub, looking as happy as can be — and very mindful at that!

"He is absolutely smitten with 'his' kittens," his mom wrote in the caption. "He is there for every bath and feeding. My heart is bursting with how cute he is with them!"

So is mine, and I don't even know any of these animals personally. They're too adorable!

More About Boone and His Kittens

Boone and his family took in the litter of kittens at the end of July, as they shared in another video . They were brand new — I don't even know if their eyes were open yet, and they were still being fed from bottles.

But that didn't matter to Boone one bit. It looks like he was fascinated by them from the very first moment, and instinctively, this guy knew he needed to be very gentle with his brand new, tiny friends.

In a comment, Boone's mom wrote, "His whole demeanor changes when he is dealing with tiny animals, at least when they are in the house and known members of the crew."

He's the best foster dad ever — and undoubtedly very comforting and loving to these new kittens who had nowhere to go. Way to go, Boone!
