My dog is always down to watch a little TV with me, but it's rare that she ever cares about music. It doesn't matter what I'm playing — she doesn't seem to love it or hate it either way, no matter how much I, as her human, feel that music is essential for every living being to get the most out of their lives. So anytime I see a video of a dog who does have the rhythm, it's the coolest thing ever. I love to see videos of dogs who dance and move to the music they're listening to... and some dogs even sing .

Case in point: The pup in the TikTok video below, who was really feeling it when they ran into a street musician in the park. Someone give this dog a record deal!

On Saturday, August 24, @cas.dav shared this video of a Dalmatian pup in New York City's Central Park, singing their heart out. In the caption, she called him "Fur-ank Sinatra," and honestly, with this dog's talent, that nickname is totally deserved!

As a saxophonist plays, the dog stands nearby, matching him note for note, tail wagging the entire time. I love that the dog had to stop and sing along — he's totally feeling it! And fortunately, his human didn't seem to mind standing by to let him have his moment.

Commenters who saw the video can't get enough of this dog's musical skills, either, with one even describing it as "very 101 Dalmatians coded." I have to agree — Pongo and Perdita did live with a songwriter in the movie, after all. Another person wrote, "They used to perform at a jazz club together in a past life." Yep, I could totally see that happening!

    Dogs Who Sing

While finding a dog with this kind of talent might be rare, there are actually plenty of dogs out there who will howl to music, and according to the American Kennel Club (AKC), it all comes back to their wolf ancestors .

When a dog howls along to music, it's similar to what happens when they join in with another dog howling — they may not realize that it's because of their evolutionary need to warn other dogs about potential threats, they just know it feels right to howl at that moment.

The AKC also points out that studies have shown that genres like metal and grunge can stress dogs out, while listening to classical music can calm them. And just like humans, dogs can develop their own taste for what they enjoy most.

So if your dog is a singer, just let them howl their hearts out. It's what they've been doing for generations!
