Dogs love going on adventures. Their fun-loving spirit makes them cheerful companions, and they never complain about being in the car or needing screens to keep them occupied. They take in the new sights, smells, and people with a sense of wonder and joy.

This is especially true when they are going on their first train adventure. This happy Pit Bull’s excitement can be seen on his face, and his joy will surely put a smile on yours as well.

Check out his fantastic day in this video shared on August 13:

Tommy (@ tommybluestaff ) looked excited when he saw the train, just like a little boy! His eyes opened wide, and he flashed a smile as if he knew he was about to embark on a thrilling new adventure. His experience on the Mary Valley Rattler in Queensland certainly didn’t disappoint. He was overjoyed, hanging his head out the window with the other dogs as they rode along the tracks. That was adorable! Perhaps this handsome Staffordshire Terrier also picked up on the excitement of his train-loving uncle or instinctively knew what a unique opportunity it was. Or maybe it’s just because dogs know how to make the most of everything. What a great way to spend an afternoon with your pup while enjoying the beautiful scenery!

Are There Any Dog-Friendly Scenic Trains in the U.S.?

Yes, and there are many to choose from! For example, Amtrak allows dogs and cats on many of its routes across the country. The Amtrak Cascades route, which travels through the Pacific Northwest from Oregon to British Columbia, offers stunning views of forests, rivers, and the coastline. Other scenic routes, like the Vermonter in the Northeast, showcase picturesque, untouched landscapes. Besides these routes, Sidewalk Dog reports there are many other dog-friendly trains to ride throughout the county; just be sure to check the route rules before booking your adventure.

People were on board with this sensational idea! Viewer @pupalicious.pups responded, “This is so cool! What an amazing adventure.” It is! Viewer @__will_thomas__ remarked, “Tommy has to be one of the happiest dogs I’ve ever seen!” That’s for sure. Viewer @fatalerita responded, “He is having the best time! He can’t stop smiling.” It’s hard to feel anything but happen when watching him enjoy each moment of his ride.

With a holiday weekend approaching, this is a great reminder to go out and experience new things. Our dogs are always ready to embark on exciting adventures that don't need to cost a thing. A simple outdoor hike can create memories that will last a lifetime.
