Orange Kitten's Tiny Squeaks While Making Biscuits Are Enough to Make Anyone Melt

I am probably biased as a huge cat fan, but there are few things in the world cuter than a kitten. Though I've never gotten to raise a baby cat from infancy, I have adopted both of my cats from the shelter at just eight weeks old, and often look back at the photos and videos of them when they were brand new (and so tiny). Everything from their little faces to how small their meows used to be is too cute. And it's pretty incredible how they just seem to know how to be a cat so early on after also raising dogs from puppyhood who tend to require a lot more training.

If you feel the same way I do, you're going to fall in love with the kitten in this video. Seriously — he's so small, how is he even real?!

Recently, @sunkittencats shared this TikTok video of their orange kitten kneading a blanket — otherwise known as "making biscuits" by many cat people out there.

His little face is so tiny and so are his paws, but still, he's making those biscuits with the best of them. "He's working very hard to make you some bread," the OP wrote on the video.

He really is such a hard (and adorable) little worker. Who wouldn't fall in love with him immediately?!

Commenters seem to feel the same way I do, with one person writing, "I need a lifetime order of bread from him, please." He could start his own bakery and make millions, really.

    When Do Kittens Begin Kneading?

There are a lot of things kittens can't do very early on in their lives — in fact, for the first few weeks they're alive, they aren't even able to see or hear. But kneading is the one thing they are able to do very early on, since it helps them get their food.

As PetMD pointed out, the kneading is actually to stimulate their mamas to produce milk, but it's a habit that many of them will continue for the rest of their lives because of the positive associations that doing so while nursing brings them. They feel safe and calm during that time, so kneading as adults helps them recreate those feelings.

That's not the only reason cats knead, though; they often do it to make the area they're going to rest or sleep more comfortable, so if you notice your cat doing that to a blanket before the settle in for the rest of the night, that's likely what they're up to. They may also be marking that blanket or bed as their territory at the same time.

The kitten in this video is already so good at kneading that I wouldn't be surprised if he decided to go pro. What a cutie!
