Mom's Attempt to Relax in Tub with 7 Feisty Maine Coon Kittens Is the Cutest Fail

If you've ever raised a kitten, you know that they can make your household a lot of fun... and very chaotic. While they're still learning how to be cats, they're making a lot of messes, running and climbing all over the place, and possibly even destroying some of your stuff — not to mention the fact that they love practicing to use those voices they just discovered. It's just part of the process, but it's for the best if you understand you're probably not going to get a lot of time to relax during that period of their lives. Don't worry; they'll grow up way faster than you want them to!

What happens if you have several kittens in your house at the same time? Oh, even more chaos... and even less peace for the humans who are also living under that roof (but in the best way). This TikTok video sums it all up pretty perfectly.

The kittens' temporary mom at the cattery @greekgardenmainecoons shared what happened when she tried to take a bath while having seven Maine Coon kittens in her house. Let's just say they weren't about to let her have any fun without them!

While she was in the tub, they all gathered around, trying to get in the tub, too — according to her caption, they wanted to go for a swim. Can't blame them; the tub probably looked like fun to kitties who are discovering everything in the world for the first time.

Even the cats who weren't actively pawing and meowing at the tub were still close behind, absolutely staring her down. I can't decide if I'd enjoy my bath more with a view like that, or feel like my privacy was totally violated... but honestly, the kittens would win out every time.

In the background, their mama was calling out to them to come back. Even though she is a cat, she knows what it's like when someone needs to kick back for a bit without the babies. "She likes to run out in the mornings and explore the house. She needs breaks from the kids. This was her letting me know she was rested and ready for more baby time," the OP wrote in a comment.

More About Greek Garden Maine Coons

The Greek Garden Maine Coon cattery that these kittens are from is based in Utah and run by a couple, Hazel and Dallas. According to their website, they focus on following "ethical breeding practices" for their kittens out of a love for this cat breed (and animals in general).

If you are interested in adopting from the cattery, you can fill out an application and they will place you with a kitten who fits your family and situation at the first opportunity, adding that they hope it won't take longer than a year. These kitties don't come cheap, though — you're looking at a $4,000 investment, so if cost is an issue for you, it might be better to adopt from a rescue or shelter.

Their kitties are adorable, and as we can see in this video, very persistent. Whoever ends up taking them home is very lucky!
