Doggy daycare is a truly wonderful invention. Leaving your pet home alone is a scary thought, for their sake and the sake of your furniture. But at daycare, your dog can socialize with other people and dogs, play, and be safely away from all of your things.

An added bonus: you never know exactly what kinds of dogs you'll see when you drop your dog off every day. For example, at one doggy daycare, they have several Huskies, a couple of Beagles... and one Irish Wolfhound that makes them all look tiny:

Irish Wolfhound aside, I would love to see @vadaluv's lint roller when she gets home from a long shift. The hair must be unreal.

Unfortunately, she has not shared this big boy's name, probably out of respect for her clients. What she has shared, though, is that he's the biggest dog in the whole daycare, followed closely by a massive Great Dane with a cow-print coat. In follow-up videos, she's shared how the smaller dogs walk around underneath him like he's a freeway overpass. While they're all piling onto a table to get a look out the window, you can always find him standing leisurely in the back!

Although he's definitely intimidating, Irish Wolfhounds are the gentlest giants around. They love to cuddle, and they're pretty low-energy: as long as they get in a few walks and a couple games of fetch everyday, you've got yourself a couch potato. As long as you don't want any of the couch, because they will take up the whole thing and then some.

Is My Small Dog Safe At Doggy Daycare?

When we see this dog who makes Huskies look like teeny, tiny kittens, there's no denying that he's both amazing and a little scary. If you're sending your Chihuahua off to doggy daycare, he looks like he could eat them and still have room for dinner!

Doggy daycares are fully staffed with people who have to supervise them. When they notice signs of stress in a dog, they typically pull that pup from the situation Additionally, they supervise play to make sure no one gets trampled. At a good quality doggy daycare, all dogs are as safe as possible.

If you're anxious about bringing your dog to a daycare with bigger dogs, you can seek out a center that separates the dog by size. They may be harder to come by and a little more expensive, but it's worth it for your peace of mind!
