Some dogs look forward to the moment their "pawrent" returns home with excitement, and they can't hide it. Newfoundland siblings Lily and Winston love their dad so much, they don't know what to do when he's gone. But when he comes home, all is right in the world again.

A TikTok video shared by @lily_thenewfie shows the furry siblings patiently waiting for Dad's return and when they spot him, it's the sweetest moment caught on camera. Check them out!

In the video captioned, "When dad has the cheek to go fishing without you," Lily and Winston sit next to Mom with big, hopeful eyes as she says "Dad's back. Dad's back outside." The two stare at her a moment as if connecting the dots when Lily jumps onto the couch to look out the window. Clearly she did understand and wants to see for herself!

"How did I know you'd do that?" Mom asks as Lily stands on her hind legs to get a good view out the window. "Can you see him?" she continues. "Lily, is Dad back?"

Both dogs can hardly contain their excitement as the clip cuts to both pups welcoming Dad after he comes inside. With tails wagging and happy hops to get all the pets, they're thrilled he's back. The duo's followers think these two are the cutest and honestly, it's true.

"Awww you've got 2 big fluffy teddy bears. I'd never get anything done with all the cuddles and snuggles," one person noted. "Lily looked like she was going to talk. They're so so beautiful," another said. "Those facial expressions are beyond gorgeous- these two are just magnificent!!!"

Lily and Winston sure love their dad and it shows!

    Newfoundlands Are Loyal, Loving Pups

Like Lily and Winston, Newfoundlands as a whole are highly regarded as affectionate lap dogs who don't realize how large they are. According to Dogster , the Newfoundland breed is protective and loyal. However, females tend to be more independent and more likely to bond stronger with one person in the family.

That doesn't mean males aren't as awesome. These dogs typically adore everyone, but females like Lily might listen to their preferred human a little more than everyone else. "Newfies" are also easily trainable and they love to please their people, so it really just depends on each dog's personality.

The downside of a Newfie's sweet nature is that they're not the kind of dog who likes to be alone for very long. Their attachments are strong, and they're more prone to separation anxiety —hence Lily's reaction to Dad returning home. We're sure she'd react the same way if Mom had left, too. They just love their family so much!
