Raising a litter of puppies is tough work! With so many little ones vying for attention and nursing, a mother can barely get 5 minutes of sleep. So when the day finally comes to allow them to eat independently, Mom is undoubtedly thrilled.

However, the kids sometimes have other feelings. In this case, one puppy wasn't ready for the change and did all she could to go back in time.

Check out this priceless effort in a video from August 23:

The sweet Golden Retriever mother (@ gambelsgoldens ) has been nursing her puppies for the last few months, and now it's time for them to eat on their own. She appears to understand that her outfit prevents her babies from nursing, but not all the puppies seem to grasp this concept. While some try to find a spot to latch on, one intelligent puppy realizes the outfit needs to be removed first. This clever dog, adorned with a light pink bow, attempts to untie the outfit from below, then tries tying a knot up above, and ultimately attempts to stick her head underneath to nurse. LOL!

However, she soon realizes she no longer has access to the "Dairy Bar" and goes over to Mom to see why this self-service option is no longer an option. Fortunately, one of her siblings distracted her with play, giving Mom the break she'd earned. With those tiny puppy teeth in place, it must be a relief to no longer be the primary food source.

When Do Puppies Begin Eating on Their Own?

Puppies typically nurse for their first 6 to 8 weeks of life, although this can vary depending on the breed and circumstances. At around 3 to 4 weeks of age, the weaning process starts by gradually introducing soft food alongside nursing as their teeth come in. By the time they are 6 to 8 weeks old, they are generally fully weaned and eating solid food . Still, some puppies may continue to nurse occasionally during this period for comfort.

This young dog's tenacity amused people. Viewer @dramaqueenphd responded, "Miss Pink is definitely showing signs of addiction! Lol, time for Milk Anonymous!" Ha! She might need some support. Viewer @charliethetherapy remarked, "It's Ok, guys, I've got this figured out. milk bar will be back in just a few minutes." She's a fearless leader, for sure! Another person responded, "Look at that little sassy puppy trying to unwrap the milk bar! You go, girl!" Her determination is awe-inspiring.

Little Miss Pink Bow will bring lots of mischief and fun to her future family. With her high IQ, she might need a job to keep her out of trouble.
