Dogs are very in tune with our emotions. If we're happy, they're happy, and if we're sad, they do whatever they can to make us feel better. This kind of unconditional love is unmatched. Cola the Brussels Griffon understands the assignment and recently sprang into action to cheer Mom up when she needed it most.

On August 27, 2024, @thefizzycola shared the most precious TikTok video showing Cola giving her mom the support she needs and it's so sweet. This is enough to make anyone's heart melt.

"Heard me crying so woke up from her nap to check if I was ok," the clip begins as Cola sleepily wakes from her nap with a big yawn. "Gathering herself together and listening out to see if I'm ok."

The small pup then waits a moment, taking in the sounds around her. "Confirmed tears," the video continues. "Time to make a move." Cola gets up from Mom's lap and moves up to the nook of her arms and plants herself on Mom's arm for a good, soothing snuggle. Cola did her job and she did it well.

"You're not along mum. I'm here with you," the video concludes, with the fitting caption, "Emotional support from Cola," written below.

The sweet clip is making the rounds and many of Cola's followers agree—she's an angel taking care of her mom.

Dogs always know what we need and they never hesitate to help us out. Cola is an amazing little fur baby who, no doubt, loves her mom.

Dogs Are Extremely Empathetic To Our Emotions

Dogs and their people have a special connection. At times, it's hard to verbalize this kind of bond, because it's that deep. Dogster indicates they even understand when we're sad .

Studies show not only do they pick up on the emotion, but they want to help, often taking initiative to make you feel better. They do this by mirroring, which is tail tucked, ears down to show empathy, licking, whining, cuddling, or even bringing you a toy to try to get you to play so you'll feel better.

Just like Cola, dogs love us so much, they want us to be happy. If we're not, they make it their job to get us there. If that's not the truest definition of " man's best friend ," nothing is.
