Cats are notorious for being a little picky when it comes to playing favorites with their humans. It could be you or it could be some random visitor who gave them treats that one time. But for one gray cat, it's Dad, and when Dad gets home from work, all bets are off!
The recent TikTok video posted by Natalie LaCava (@natalie_lacava) shows the heartwarming moment her favorite person returns home. As soon as she sees Dad, her little paws go wild.
"POV: You wait all day for Dad to get home," the video says as it shows the gray kitty standing at the door, looking out into the yard. Once Dad gets through the gate and walks toward the door, the feline excitedly stands on hind legs while pawing at the glass pane as if trying to scratch her way out to him.
"Her favorite part of the day," the caption reads. by the way Dad approaches the door to paw back at her, we think it's his favorite part, too.
More than 15,000 people have liked the clip with many in awe of their special bond.
"Definitely daddy’s girl. So sweet!!" one person said. "If this isn’t the cutest thing I honestly don’t know what is," another wrote. "What did you humans do to deserve cats? How lucky we are!" another added.
This cat Dad is one lucky guy to have the love of a feline with heart that beats for him!

How Cats Choose Their Favorite Person

They'll be more likely to choose you if you take the time to know the way they like to be loved. Also by making sure they have a comfortable environment (clean litter, food, etc.), and an established care routine they can depend on, they'll know they can count on you.
Other ways to bond with your cat include playing with them, giving them treats, and introducing them to new things like puzzles or something that keeps them sharp and entertained.
At the end of the day, cats choose whomever they feel the most bonded to, or someone they know will give them exactly what they want. So go forth, and get to bonding!
